Welcome to the ARL DSRC! This New User Tutorial is designed to help users new to the center learn how to efficiently compute at our site. Please take an hour or two to carefully take this tutorial, which we have assembled for your sake. We feel that time invested up front in learning the best techniques for computing at ARL will save you time and effort in the long run. We want your computing here to be successful, and we strongly feel that taking this tutorial will help you learn how to use our systems to your advantage.
Users unfamiliar with HPC should review all slides contained herein.
Users familiar with HPC at other DSRCs may wish to skip the Computational Technology Areas section, and browse the other sections.
All users are strongly encouraged to do the hands-on exercises provided in this tutorial. For this tutorial, please refer to complete hostname information that you were provided with your new user documentation.
