Consolidated DoD HPCMP Visualization Support
HPCMP Data Analysis and Assessment Center (DAAC)
Scientific
Visualization at the US Army Research Laboratory is focused on providing the facilities, software tools, and the experience
to enable the understanding of physics based simulations. The Sci-Vis team is tasked to develop new techniques for exploiting
high-performance computing technology; promote the use of scientific visualization within DoD; make visualization technology
available to DoD researchers and prepare video presentations in support of DoD projects. While working with other researchers
within ARL and at other DoD facilities, the Sci-Vis team has gained vast experience in working with computational fluid dynamics,
penetration mechanics, battlefield troop movement, artificial terrain generation and explosive effects simulations.
One of the questions the Sci-Vis team at the ARL DSRC gets asked is "How can I create professional looking visualizations of my data without asking for help every time?" In response to this request, we have compiled several How-To Guides that we hope will assist the customers of the ARL DSRC use the provided tools more effectively.
- DAAC: Visualizing Data with Ensight
- DAAC: Visualizing Data with ParaView
- DAAC: Visualizing Data with VisIt
- Use ParaView to Visualize CTH Data
- Configure Ensight or DMX Coordinates for Crush
- Using EnSight in a mixed (ARL.MIL and ARL.HPC.MIL) Kerberos Environment
- Computational Science Environment (CSE)
- Using SSH port forwarding/tunneling with Ensight
- DAAC: Simple SSH Tunneling for Paraview
